Study Watchtower confirms shunning spiritually weak. How nice!
by Isambard Crater init really hurt to hear brothers and sisters commenting about this at the meeting yesterday.. "as in solomon’s case, one of the greatest threats to spirituality is friendship with those who do not understand or respect jehovah’s standards.
some may be associated with the congregation but may be spiritually weak.
others could be relatives, neighbors, coworkers, or schoolmates who are not worshippers of jehovah.

Some may be associated with the congregation but may be spiritually weak. Others could be relatives, neighbors, coworkers, or schoolmates who are not worshippers of Jehovah. In any case, if our close associates do not show a high regard for Jehovah’s standards, they can in time destroy our good standing with God."

Does Disfellowshipping only prohibit spiritual contact with a DF family member or friend?
by Isambard Crater inall through my life, now in my 40's, i've seen df people get completely shunned by family and friends, but an ex elder showed me the stfog book that says it's just spiritual contact that stops.
so what's the crack?
i'm mega confused, as i want to go p.o.m.o or ideally da but don't want to loose family..

United Nations
by Sergey Antonov inhello, recently, i talked with the witness of the united states.
"jehovah's witnesses" in the united nations.
as far as i understand, the organization had to fully accept the un charter and cooperate with the un.the jehovah's witness replied to me that there is no contradiction in this.he said that witnesses are allowed to apply, for example, to courts or other organizations for help.when i told him that the organization is participating in the osce, he is said to be normal too.he said that they are not affected.

Did your ability to work get affected by waking up to TTATT?
by stuckinarut2 injust curious.. when you started to wake up to the truth about the truth, did the shock and the whole experience distract you from your usual activities such as performing at your place of work?.
did you become so consumed by researching, and the subsequent factual discoveries, that it affected your ability to carry out daily tasks?.

Today's Watchtowe Study, Child Baptism
by BluesBrother insuffice to say that i fundamentally disagree with the point of this article, a cynical attempt to boost numbers.
it goes against bible precedent and their own long standing practice.
they timothy as an example of a youthfull christian, a young man.. sure but he was not baptized young .

I hated todays W.T study too. Actually I sat through it yesterday at the Britain branch annual meeting and the Bethelite who did the study said that someone in the U.K. Bethel commented how 10 years is the age when kids here become legally culpable, so how more so are they responsible for there actions in front of Jehovah.
I seem to recall Tony Morris said in a recent talk that young J.Dubs should wait untill they turn 23 before thinking about marriage, so how come they're prettymuch recommending to get Baptized 13 years earlier than that, the most importance decision of one's life?

I have already said that the zone visit contained absolutely nothing crazy or objectionable, nothing about Tight Pants, the end coming, child abuse, blah blah. Just the Watch Tower study urging children to get baptised and that they're still accountable to Jehovah before getting baptised, then a load of stuff about the Britain Bethel, L.D.C and campaign Experiences, then a long talk basically saying 'endure' and feel good about serving in the Organization.
freddo I cant remember the numbers, but the L.D.C section just said they have built loads of new Kingdom Halls and refurbished many others, so Jehovah is clearly blessing the growth and expansion here in the Britain territory.

Would of rarther spent the afternoon with my husband but I went to the Britain Zone Branch visit broadcast and it was far from special, comprise of;
- Chelmsford update how amazing it is
- Britain L.D.C projects update
- Special campaign experiences
- An update about the printing press at London bethel
- A 75-minutes Talk about don't give up, remember that all bad things we see, hear and feel are because of Satan, and keep going. Feel your role in Preaching isn't significant? Think of the worldwide Brotherhood.
That was it.

Example of sensitive data – should I be worried?
by Fay Dehr in### here's a link to a high-quality version of the above form: https://1drv.ms/u/s!amcrvjcxi6m6a2mdhysjdll3m00 ###.
the attached image is the rear of form a-27; this is just example of many forms that contain personal data.
i’d like to know: should i be worried?.

Fay Dehr, I think G.D.P.R makes your statement that "publishers are forbidden access to this data" wrong, as a key principle of the new laws is that data subjects can request all data held about them?

Brothers with hearts. Where are they?
by stillin inone poster here mentioned how, after he was appointed as an elder, things took on a more "corporate" feel.
i was an ms and as such went, dutifully, to the bi-annual meetings with the co. i was sorely disappointed.
i had imagined sort of a round-table discussion of trends and potential difficulties in the congregation, along with a coordinated effort to help people out.

I can think of countless examples of Brothers, mainly Elders, showing no real love or understanding, totally like the Pharisees and not at all like Jesus.
Also, I am often told stories by mentally-in J.W's who complain how such a Brother has mistreated them in some way. I gently sow a seed in there minds by saying; "We should all be more like Jesus". They agree with me, say it's something to do with the Organization being made up from imperfect human men, and then say how wonderful The Truth is, contradicting themselves. *facepalm
